For all you DIY lovers and homemakers!
PLEASE DO NOT DELETE THE TEXT AS IT WILL NOT SHOW ON YOUR BLOG
You will need:
Magnet board (got mine for $20 at IKEA, you could use sheet of metal like iron or steel)
Primer
Paintbrush
Chalkboard paint
Chalk
Turpentine - you will need the turpentine to clean your brush as chalkboard paint is oil based
Begin by cleaning your magnet board with a clean cloth, if you wish to drill holes into it so you can fix it to a wall do it now. Take it outdoors and spray down the whole thing with primer (spray primers work best on flat surfaces for an even finish). Let it dry over night. Once dry, give it an even coat with chalkboard paint, let dry overnight again and paint one last chalkboard coat on 3rd day. Once dry you can hang it up and use it! For a bit of extra fun find some craft glue and a magnet sheet (75c from ikea or you can use old cheap magnets from basically anywhere), cut the magnet sheet into strips that will fit on one side of the peg and glue them on, let dry. The magnets might be quite weak so you might only be able to hold up a note or a picture, if you want to use it to hang keys I recommend finding stronger magnets :)
And yes that is a picture of me when I was like 4 holding my two fave stuffed animals haha, if you guys have any questions about this project or anything really just send them in by clicking here
